Making Eggless Ladi Pav Bread Bun at home

I love sandwiches. So, I was in for a rude shock (in May this year) when newspapers were filled with stories about how use of Potassium Bromate and Potassium Iodate in making breads have been linked to cancer and thyroid issues. But honestly, it is just not about breads. Adulteration is a major cause of concern in all kinds of food. With a 5 year old at home and concerns about our own health, I am convinced making things at home is any day better than buying. As I mentioned in my previous post, the better half is also quite inspired these days. So, we are on a  roll.

We are yet to make bread but he decided to try the ladi pav first. He followed this recipe. And it came out perfect.


We had home-made Bhurji-Pav last Sunday.


The next project is going to be making yeast at home (which is required for making pav or bread) and use it instead of commercially available yeast to make bread.
